Watching the seasons pass with David Hockney at Musée de l’Orangerie
The show we saw was done entirely on an iPad, and reflected how Hockney felt during his time in Normandy during lockdown
He was influenced by the Impressionist painters (painting outside and capturing light), and wanted to make an artwork that was like the one Claude Monet did, “Water Lilies”, which we saw as we entered the museum. The show was dedicated to nature, the changing seasons, and renewal.
We chose the piece we were most inspired by, and got to work recreating is in our own style! We ended our day with a fun mindful eating activity.
