Learning about the Ubuntu philosophy at Palais de Tokyo for the show ‘Ubuntu - a Lucid Dream’
Ubuntu essentially translates to ‘I am because we are’, a South African term to show humanity towards others
We learnt about different artists, namely Michael Armitage, a Kenyan artist living in London that paints on a special type of cloth called “Lubugo” that comes from the bark of a tree, found in Uganda. We reflected on the meaning of Ubuntu, explored the show, and ended our day citing positive thoughts and affirmations and completing our positive self talk flower. We ended the day with a fun mindful eating exercise.
